What’s new at Classic Aviation?
Hangar construction: The walls are up on the new hangar next to the maintenance hangar. The hangar will be used for cold storage of aircraft and equipment, and will hopefully allow us to keep the rental fleet under a roof once it is completed.
New Classic Hangar
Flight Training: Our flight training capabilities continue to grow at Classic Aviation. As a Cirrus Flight Training Center that provides training from private to ATP we are ready to train with you whether you are in need of recurrent training or looking to add that next rating. We now have an FAA examiner on staff as well so many checkrides can take place right here at Pella. The Cessna 152 "N60SX" still provides the best value in rental or training at $60/hour. Keep spreading the word that learning to fly is fun, safe and affordable.

Instrument Ground School. Our two week instrument ground school starts February 17th. It’s still not too late to enroll, but please let us know right away if you are interested.

Growing families: Classic Aviation Staff Brian Teachout, Jeff Uitermark, Shane Vande Voort, and Joel Buseman and their wives are all expecting babies this spring and summer.

Annual Safety meeting: Our annual safety meeting is scheduled for April 30th this year. Please stay tuned for details on another first class safety event.

Fly Iowa Challenge: Challenge yourself to visit more Iowa Airports this year. You can participate by visiting as little as 10 Iowa Airports. For complete rules and details see www.flyiowa.org.

N3463K is famous! Our beloved J3 Cub is on the cover of the new Iowa Airport Directory and Aeronautical Chart. (Free copies available at Classic Aviation). The air-to-air photo was taken by our very own talented photographer Megan Vande Voort with the very capable Doug Cash at the controls of the Cub.
