Pella, Iowa

Pella is a small town with a rich and vibrant heritage. In Dutch "Pella" means city of refuge. Pella was the city of refuge for a handful of Dutch immigrants during the mid-1800's who settled the midwest grass lands for religious freedom. Today Pella is a well-known Iowa town. Come and see Pella and its many sites and attractions. During the first Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of May Pella hosts its annual tulip festival. Please come and visit Pella as you will be delighted with the beautiful Dutch landscape and architecture. Also, come and enjoy the delicious Dutch pastries in the local bakeries.
A courtesy car is available for your use to drive into town to get a bite to eat at one Pella's fine restaurants, pick up some delicious Dutch treats at our wonderful meat markets and bakeries, or shop at our local gifts shops and downtown stores.
